Azan the Wise

Quasi-Deity - Patron of the Market (LN) (F)

Note: Port Elizabeth was once a Sakar Trading town, and followed the religious lead of the Sakharan tradition of nurturing an Undead City God. You can find Azan's story here.

Primarily a deity of the market, she is also seen as a protector of the small traders, craftsmen and farmers who use the market to sell their wares. Her priests are few and far between, and you are unlikely to find them in a temple. However, many carry her symbol, a small rattle, and occasionally touch it, as they ask her blessing. Her symbol is a cat - it doesn't matter if it is a silhouette, an outline or a lifelike depiction - just so long as it is a cat.

She is normally depicted as an elderly cat-headed woman.

Powers

Azan is a quasi-deity who can grant access to two domains, but can only grant spells up to Fifth Level, drawn from the Adept Spell list – higher level spell slots may be filled with lower level spells. Azan does not grant access to domains (to any of her priests), instead grants the ability of takes a Familiar at Level 2 (any priest) although it is always a grey house cat and (no matter what spells or feats are used, always stays as a normal grey house cat.
