A Hamlet known as Vaton

The Gnomes of Jovvox have ceded a hamlet, called Vaton, just outside the main town, to V&A shipping. The arrangement is that V&A can develop freely in that Hamlet, without asking for further permissions or licences, HOWEVER the hamlet must be properly balanced between Economy, Loyalty and Stability and that no defences are added. They may not develop outside Vaton at all. While that is restrictive, it gives V&A a fairly cheap and effective way of developing a Local Base.

The easiest way to trade from here, is to run goods out to the Chain Ferry with fishing boats, so that they can be picked up by the larger vessels plying the river route. When not ferry goods, the Fishing Boats can fish the local waters to supplement the crew's income.
