Orc Hills

A range of hills between the Mountains and the Mulcroft Delta, that is home to the Gijak Kodar Ushtar or Blood Hill Troop of orcs. Less extreme, the orcs cam here from the nearby mountains, six or seven generations ago, killing or displacing the people who lived here. Since then, they have spread out to inhabit this small range of hills, right down to the delta side forests. Other have spread seaward though the mountain passes, to claim coastal territories , while the passes, and t…

The North Coast

The coast, north of Stilton, is cut with long steep sided fjords, although the slopes of the mountains here are often forested. These trees (predominantly pine species) often line the passes and cover plateaus and the few low-laying areas of the Fjord sides, making it possible to travel right through the mountains to the Orc Hills beyond - if you know the way. A few of these fjords are home to Orc bands, who raid ships and other settlements in large war canoes. Other Orcs hu…

Delta Margin

Lined with mangrove forest, the Detla Margin is a hot and damp place, buzzing with insects and many other types of life.

Mangrove is not just one species, but a mixture of trees, bushes, ferns and reeds. Between them they provide edible fruit, seeds, roots and leaves – so long as you aren’t too fussy. One tree can even be tapped for a sugary sap that can be fermented. Others produce good firewood and building timbers. Ferns and reeds can be used for thatching – and reeds can b…

Away from the hills, passes and coastal holdings - Black Orc Bands fight with Blood Orc Bands, as they continue their eternal battle for supremacy. However, little more is known about them than this - even the other Orcs tend to leave them to their own devices.

Orcs in The Mulcoft Delta

Orcs are a degenerate humanoid race, famed for their violence and unpredictable ways. The most common racial features include tough grey skin, black greasy hair and a pronounced underbites, often with small tusks. There are variations, as with all races, although they all have some of those characteristics, to one extent or another. They have been described as having ‘coarse body hair and a stooped posture like some primitive man but with a grayish-green skin tone a…

Orc Raids

It doesn't matter whether it is pirate raids or land based raids, the Mulholland Delta orcs like to attack at dawn or dusk. Their light sensitivity means they are often uncomfortable during the day, while their lack of Low-Light vision means they are at a disadvantage, against some races, at night. So they prefer to make the most of what they have - sneak up under cover of darkness and launch raids when they think they have the advantage.

This page deals with religious interplay in the Orcs who live in the hills to the north of the Mulholland Delta. As always, beliefs drive behaviour - or is it the other way around? Whether gods choose people, or people choose the gods that suit them, isn't relevant here - just the relationship between the two :}

Orcish Vessels

The following vessels are used by the Orc bands in the Mulholland Delta area.

Raft - A standard 10×10 raft, powered by oars or paddles. They are used on the delta as trade vessels. If you see an Orc (or 1/2orc) on a raft, they are interested in trade, or perhaps fishing, rather than fighting. Normal trade missions, consist of a 1/2orc accompanied by an Orc.

The Orcs

The area between the northern shore of the delta and the mountains forms an extended Orc holding. There are a number of different Orc groups here, and all of them skirmish and raid the others. However, they will come together and fight as a race, if they need to. This page describes the way these Orcs live and fight together, Orcs in other areas might behave differently.
