Types of Dwarf Settlement

Dwarves tend to hang together in groups, rather than mixing in with the general population. This has more to do with cultural values, rather than racism, intolerance or xenophobia. They just get on better with others of their own race, who think the same way as them and enjoy the same things.

No matter where you go, Dwarf Communities, be they Mine-holds, Ex-Pats or isolated groups, you will find the same basic values and structures that reflect the Lawful Good racial outlook. It is similar to most other Lawful Good societies.

Dwarf Culture

Every cultural group identifies with a few things, often food items, religion and social activities, that helps to define them as a group.

Food Items

	* Ale - More a family of beers than one single drink, dwarven stout is known by different names around the Inner Sea. Dwarven stouts are dark beers characterized by a slightly burnt flavor and a foamy head; they are said to be as filling as a meal.

Dwarves

Overview

These short and stocky defenders of mountain fortresses are often seen as stern and humorless. Known for mining the earth’s treasures and crafting magnificent items from ore and gemstones, they have an unrivaled affinity for the bounties of the deep earth. Dwarves also have a tendency toward traditionalism and isolation that sometimes manifests as xenophobia.
