Commoner Occupation Traits

After gaining some experience in a specific role, a commoner might gain a trait to represent that life experience and basic training, as the NPC advances to Commoner-2. Not every commoner gains an occupational Trait, a few might gain a second trait at level three, however, they can never gain more than two traits in this way. These house ruled traits are specific to Commoners, and are designed to help make Commoner NPCs a bit more rounded. They are not available to…

Haggling (Skill)

Haggling is a skill born in the Al Qadim setting, but it is a key skill in business and trade. It is an opposed roll, and allows PCs, traders and merchants to barter over the cost of some items. Many NPC stores will just charge book price, although markets, crafters and traders are often prepared to barter.

The Leadership Feat

Some aspects of the Leadership feat are redundant under my full campaign rules, as the Entourage feat (that you picked up as a Bonus feat at L2) along with the staff employed in your businesses and estates represents your followers. However, there are still many benefits to taking the Leadership Feat.

Craft:Map Making

Drawing a map is a Craft Skill and can be used by anybody who has pen and paper (or the equivalent). This skill allows you to do a number of things. The Example (Right) are basic sketch maps. Relative distances and sizes are reasonably accurate, as is the orientation and layout. A party with this map would know what to expect :] However, it is probably only worth 1 or 2 gp on the open market – but it will be worth much more to the right person.

Squire (feat)

The feat (as written) can be taken at L3 but, because of level limits, you can't recruit a squire until L4. This house-ruled version permits you to recruit a L1 Warrior as a squire when you first take the feat.
