 The Sinonese settlement town in the Drai Shon Archipelago,  Shankong is a <color yellow/lightgrey>- Yellow Flag Port -</color> and allows limited access to vessels from other groups who have signed and agreed The Accords.  They do not allow access to Orcs, Hobgoblins or Pirates.
+{{:consolidated:draishon:shangkong:shangkongisland.png?200  |}}  The island has a hilly interior and a rocky coastline that makes landing difficult, anywhere except in Shangkong Harbour.  Even then, the bay is shallow enough that it is only accessible yo ships with a shallow draft, such as junks, long ships and the like.  Sailing Ships, and other vessels with a deep draught, need to anchor in the mouth of the bay, and send people and provisions ashore by longboat - while Orc War canoes and Hobgoblin Flottahs can enter the harbour, very few other ships can.  The main town, and its docks, are built at one end of the bay, while a flotilla of smaller boats, Large Sampans mainly, form a floating village of fisherfolk on the other.  High on the central hill there are gardens and a temple dedicated to Yamatsumi, the god of the mountains, with farms on the 'wings' of the hill and lowland areas.  In a climate not suitable for growing rice, the farmers concentrate on more traditional cereals (such as oats and barley) and fruit trees.  However, the cookery style hasn't changed much and much of the grain is used whole and steamed to replicate the rice that they are accustomed to.
 **Ruled by:** //Gonzi Huang Zan//  ++Note|(Gonzi is a title equivalent to junior-Lord and represents a junior leader of a Clan.  Huang is the clan name, back home the head of the clan will rule an estate, Zan is the Given Name)++  Lord Zan is a scion of the Huang, a mountain clan who are worshippers of ++Yamatsumi, the god of the mountains|(His legend says that he once lived on the highest mountain in the world, but was driven into heaven by demons)++.  When they heard of this magnificent mountain in the middle of the ocean, ruled by devil-men, they knew they should reclaim it for Yamatsumi and the Imperial Throne.  While the Huang lead the venture, it is funded more broadly, in the hope of gaining the blessing of both Yamatsumi and the Imperial Court.

 **The Troops:**  This is a right mix of troops.  There are guards, soldiers, sailors and marines.  Most have one (or more)  warrior levels, while a few have a fighter level or two.  They have different weapons and armour to suit their role.
