+===== Desna =====
+Desna is the most widely represented deity across Behof, all thanks to one Elf, Sen Estennel.  Sen (Priest of Desna, Elf M) has lived (and travelled) in the region for years, and spent his time building shrines and fathering children.  Every few miles along the main road, just far enough apart for a man to travel on foot in a single day, he has built a shine of some sort. Initially there is little more than a butterfly carved on a tree, but there will be a clear space with a fire pit, with fresh water and firewood close by.  However, over the years, some of his shrines have formed the basis of new settlements - Fanjyr, Chiswell, Ganaway and Bramble Warren all sit on the site of one of Sen's original shrines.  In the Eastern Province, travellers still rely on Sen's shrines as overnight stopping places, and they are ++marked on most maps of the area|(Our map has them as small circles along the main road in the eastern Province)++.  Nowadays, Sen keeps himself busy, travelling, maintaining the existing shines and occasionally building new shrines.
+Sen has never married, but he has a number of children spread across the area. He recognizes them all as his children, visits them occasionally, and encourages them to support one another. The best known is  ++Sir Jorumi Dexaro|(Lord of the Eastern Province and Laird of Hallbridges)++ who has sought out and helped his younger siblings as he rose to prominence.  Now, Clan Dexaro (as they are known) are one of the most important family groups in Berhof.

+While there are no shrines or chapels dedicated to [[..:..:religion:homebrewpantheons:oldlords|The Old Lords]], their tradition lives on.  There are ++wisemen/women|(Adept L1 or L2)++  scattered across the villages, preaching the Green Philosophies.  In many villages, they are the only accessible 'priest' of any sort.  They encourage their fellow villagers to say a little prayer of thanks, everything they see something beautiful, or interesting, in the natural world.  They recommend similar prayers, if you are being chased by a swarm of bees, or a wolf - along with shouting, arm waving, ducking and weaving and running for safety.

+Pharasma has a temple/graveyard in Hallbridges, Erastil has a chapel in Kusnir, Imbrex has a temple in Lurnslye, Irori is venerated at the Monastery of the Sky, Iomedae has a chapel in Gannaway, Torag has a Priest/Smith in Chiswell - and there may well be others that I have missed.  However, none of these other deities have any real reach across the whole of Berhof.  They do, however, have followers and some local influence.
