 Bridges and walkways lead out across the swampy ground, leading out to solid platforms built on stilts.  Reed huts built onto the platforms provide accommodation for the village's residents.

   - **The Public Jetty** - is little more than a platform built out over the water - but it is big enough for fishing boats and voyaging boats to come alongside, and it makes a good base for the local fishermen and swamp rats to do business. There is no deep water channel and nothing larger than a fishing boat can get in an out to the village.  Most of the village fisher-folk use skiffs or coracles that could be moor by their huts, although most work from the jetty.
