===== Overview =====

A wilderness area, to the west of The Strongholds, in the Hann Empire, originally settled to control the denizens of the Hud Delta, who were praying on shipping, and later designated as capital of a new Expansion area. {{ :consolidated:hann_empire:regions:coastal_map.png?200|}}

The region developed slowly, and is now under the leadership of Rignal, the third Lord vanFroog.  Previous lords started by developing a line of outer defences, then working outwards, leading to a few developed settlements on (or near) the coast, a couple of development settlement and two frontier posts.  For administrative purposes, Westland is split into two provinces, Lord Rignal manages the eastern province from Hudley, while Sir Preston Mexon serves as Governor of the Western Province, in Westhaven.

===== East Province =====


[[Hudley]] is the capital of Westland and the administrative centre for the Eastern Province, and is the seat of Lord Rignal vanFroog, the sovereign Lord of Westland.

[[Stonewater]] is a small town that exploits the slate cliffs by a small lake

[[Stillwood]] is a frontier village, on one of the quieter frontier sections, that serves as a border guard post and a base for hunters, trappers and woodsmen.


===== West Province =====

[[Westhaven]] is a fishing and trade port, the largest town in the Western Province and home to the Governor.

[[Stagmoor]] is a smaller agricultural town, the town, itself, is quite small, but surrounded by a large hinterland full of farms and smallholdings.

[[Greenscar]] is a small mining town.  Still under development, it has a well-developed mining industry, a few smallholdings and a small population.

[[Midfot]] is a frontier village, mainly there to serve as a military outpost, it supports a few hunters and trappers.  It is, perhaps, the most threatened of all the Westland settlements
