====== Wen (Humans)====== Wen conform to the basic Human build template, although their Racial Traits and Feats are different. There are two types of Wen Tribe - those who live in the mountains and those who live in the tropical Jungles in Port Elizabeth. **Wen Racial Traits** * Ability Score Modifiers: Human characters gain a +2 racial bonus to one ability score of their choice at creation to represent their varied nature. * Size: Humans are Medium creatures and thus receive no bonuses or penalties due to their size. * Base Speed: Humans have a base speed of 30 feet. * Languages: Wen begin play speaking Wennish. Wen with high Intelligence scores, can select their bonus languages from among Common, Giant, Goblin, and Halfling. **Special**: Tribal Wen (Generally NPCs)) are uneducated in anything outside their locale and they take a -2 on ++intelligence|(Int is a combination of natural leaning ability AND the education that someone has received)++ instead they gain Endurance as a DM-bonus Feat. **Feat and Skill Racial Traits** * Heart of the Wilderness: Wen raised in the wild learn the hard way that only the strong survive. They gain a racial bonus equal to half their character level on Survival checks. They also gain a +5 racial bonus on Constitution checks to stabilize when dying and add half their character level to their Constitution score when determining the negative hit point total necessary to kill them. ++Note|(Via the Mixed Heritage racial trait)++ * Tribalistic: Wen form into cliques or tribes, and work exceptionally well with those they view as fellow tribe members. Wen gain a +2 racial bonus on attack rolls and skill checks to use the aid another action to aid other Wen. * Tribal Wen gain Endurance as a DM-bonus Feat, in recompense for their Intelligence penalty. * Terrain specialisation: Wen tribes are found in both Mountains and Forests. They have ONE of the following Terrain traits. * Heart of the Mountains: Humans born in the mountains are skilled at negotiating heights and precipices. They gain a +2 racial bonus on Climb checks and Acrobatics checks to move on narrow surfaces and uneven ground. Furthermore, they are considered acclimated to the effects of high altitude. * Heart of the Sun: Port Elizabeth Wen treat hot climates as one category less severe. They also gain a +2 racial bonus on Fortitude saving throws against the effects of a hot climate, as well as against the poison and distraction ability of swarms and vermin.
