====== Sunsmarch ======


Sunsmarch is an Aldori dominated statelet led by Swordlord Domitius Aldori-Solanus and his wife and his wife, Alisa Solanus, a priestess of The Moon Goddess.  While most residents are human and the leaders are mainly Aldori, there is a significant Dwarven presence.  Some of the Dwarves of The Ironguard (see Old Frontier) hail from here, as did sone of the mercenaries used in the earl days of settling the frontier.  That has developed into an informal link between the Sunsmarch and The Frontier, although there is no physical connection between them.  To travel between the two means a long journey through wild country, then attracting the attention of a fisherman, who could transport you across Coal Lake.  

A single large town, called Silverhold, is their seat of power.  Set on the banks of Lake Silverstep, it is reached connected to Tusk, by a broad river.  A small castle dominates the town, and close by, you will find the Solanus Sword School (which specialises in the Aldori fighting arts) and the Moon Temple, a circular building, laid out like a crescent moon, which contains shrines to female moon-deity.  House Yitis, a local merchant house, have their holdings at the docks, with jetties, warehouses and offices, as well as a mansion that serves as home to their leader, Sworldlord Yermek Yitis-Aldori.  River boats ply back and forth to Tusk, carrying passengers and goods on a regular basis.  The docks also has a number of smaller jetties, and buildings, to service the fishing boats that work the lake.

Between the castle and the docks, you will find homes from crafts people, shops, and workers homes.  The most predominant are a chapel dedicated to Erastil, and the Delver Brewery, run by dwarves, it brews Delver Stout (a dark dwarf beer).

Several villages cluster around the outskirts, the main ones are :

**Apple Lodge** – home to Minia Dosalic-Aldori, and her sister Maple  (a druid).  Their village is based on crop farms and apple orchards.  They also make cider which is sold across Sunsmarch.  Minia and Maple live at the manor house.

**Bladehold** - a fortified village, that is home to Barbatius Scaurus-Solanus, a long time friend and support of Dom.  It is in the foothill at the edge of the mountains, and predominantly supports sheep farms. Barbatius lives at the manor house.

**Lakehold** – home to Messimarus Aldori–Blain, a long-term friend of Domitius.   While it is set on a small lake, it is primarily an agricultural village, supporting a couple of mixed economy farms and small holdings.  Among other things, it produces a lot of the milk, cheese and eggs that Silverold requires.  Messimarus lives at the manor house.

**Hammerhold** – set on the fringes of the mountains, Hammerhold is further from the town that the other villages.  It is home to Hargrym Silverhammer, leader of the local Silverhammer dwarf clan.  Hargrym is a long term ally of Domitious, and has offered him support for years.  The dwarves quarry stone in the mountains for local building and export.  Hargrym live in a fortified tower in the middle of the village.
