Death Gods

Souls are important to deities as they help define the deity's power level - the more worshippers a Deity has, and the more souls there are in their Realm, the more powerful they are. The Greatest Deities (Demons, Devils etc) have access to huge numbers of souls to help power divinity, and they always want more, that is why churches are always pushing for expansion and new followers. It is how Quasi Deities become gods and how lesser gods become more powerful. And, in the past, that has caused trouble - Chaotic and Evil deities stole souls that didn't 'belong' to them, and skirmishes, fights and wars broke out. That led to a system of policing …

Pharasma

Pharasma is THE god of the circle of life, and pronounces on the fate of every soul that passes through her Boneyard - however, much of that is done through her intermediaries. Some sages argue that there is an almost 'insect like' community among these intermediaries, and they are all in constant contact with their queen - Pharasma.

Death Gods

There are many gods (Known as Psychopomps) who deal with the souls of the departed, helping souls find their way to Pharasma's Boneyard and thence onto their allotted afterlife. Just about every culture has one, or more, deities that perform this function. It doesn't really matter which one performs the funeral or remembrance service, nor the form of the funeral the effects are the same. It doesn't however, stop churches, cultures even nations fighting and squabbling over it. Just make sure you don't get one of the Evil Psychopomps to guide you.

Wee Jas

Is one of the more important Psychopomps on my game world. However, Wee Jas is also the patron deity of Necromancers - and some of her cults have decidedly evil tendencies.

Takri

One of the most widely worshipped psychopomps, in coastal areas, Takri is seen as a patron of Navigators and a symbol of freedom as well as a psycopomp.

Yarma

A minor deity, originally from Porter's Bar, Yarma is a patron of soldiers and guards. Along with Shan and Azan, he has become part of the Cult of the small gods and services the common sailor and fisher as part of that organisation.

The Royal Ancestors

A very small church, restricted to members of the Porters Bar Royal Family, The Royal Ancestors will help guide there 'family' towards the afterlife.
