The Amethyst Fist

The Amethyst Fist was an order of monks who base their lives on the Philosophica Gasgana and the concept described in the final paragraph.

If so, it is confidence in your own mental and physical abilities, and a sense of self-reliance that will do it for you. Respect others, but make your soul your own, and make yourself in the image of the soul that you would like to be. Know yourself and your environment, and learn to be honestly confident, and competent, wherever you find yourself. Then, when the time for your journey to judgement day comes, you may have enough about you to take control of your own destiny.

They believe that if you take control, and responsibility, for your own life, through self-reliance and learning, you can achieve 'perfection'. Live, learn, be open-minded, capable and competent - and pass into the afterlife as a minor power in your own right.

Guiding Principles

It is your journey through life, and you must travel it of your own volition if you are to reach enlightenment. When the time for your journey to judgement day comes, you may have enough about you to take control of your own destiny.

  • Live simply, do not become reliant on things, people or money. Your life, and your soul, are your own responsibility.
  • Be efficient in your everyday life. Waste not, want not - for you never know what is around the next bend in the road.
  • Do not be afraid of change, for it is change that leads you to enlightenment.
  • Respect the gods, but do not become their servant, else they direct your life journey and your path to enlightenment.
  • Do not fear to walk in the land of your enemies, for there is wisdom to be found there. Tread lightly as you learn their ways, but strike hard when the time is right. Pass like a feather in the wind, and none shall know of your presence. Treat those you fell with respect, but fill your purse with their coin. They have no further use for it. Move on swiftly, for others will come in their stead.
  • Treat others with respect, for their journey is not the same as your own.
  • When one aids you, recognize it. Praise swiftly and reward handsomely, for your honour is reflected in those deeds. If you have no coin, share wisdom and comfort, healing and sustenance. Do as you would be done by.
