+Farfobik is an ancient dwarf mine-hold that has had a hard time.  Originally a Sky Citadel, formed when Torag Worshipping dwarves make a strike for the surface, it had extensive mines and a connection to the underdark, however it has been diminished over the years.  Farfobik has survived through all of Galinia's troubles, dealing with the original Ancient (Celtic) families, the Wangate Empire, the barbarian and humanoid occupation, and (most recently) the Galinian necromancers and their self-destruction. During that last phase, a necromantic dwarf managed to infiltrate the dwarven burial catacombs, a few levels below the main mine-hold, and the dwarves were forced to collapse the tunnels that led to the underdark and their main mines.  Now they are much reduced, limited to the surface, a single iron mine and the smaller, near-surface chambers.  Worse still, the Necromancer is probably still down there, somewhere!
-Did have a connection to the underdark -  but a group of Necromancers manaaged to get into the Dwarven Crypts.  The dwarves had to collapse the  entrance ways to the lower levels, to save what they could.  They have a mushroom cave, and cave crickets - as well as an Iron Mine.  No other metals are available from here.  They have just restarted the search for more seams and tunnels -  until Lady Portia came back, they had to concentrate on hunting and security.  They are some of the best mountain scouts you will find.
-They are Followers of Magrim - Torags older brother and Dwarven Psychopomp.  Partly in penance for cutting their own dead off, and partly for his more pragmatic attitude.  They are LN as a group, they like ti be on the 'good'side of that (when they can) but needs must ....

+Before the Briganda returned, the Dwarves had no real market for their iron, so they developed more of their people as hunters and scouts, bringing in food, leather and supplies - and they still have some of the best mountain fighters and scouts in the region.  After a ++tentative start|(the last set of Necromancers were led by members of the Briganda family)++, proper trade relationships were established.  Iron, Ore, weapons and a few gemstones were traded and dwarves found work, as stonemasons, in Tas Dann and the relationship has developed.  The dwarves now have good supplies of cloth and grains, and are both better fed and better clothed, while Lady Portia has an income stream from taxes and port fees.
+They are, however, more pragmatic than many other dwarves.  After all, they have had to fight to survive, and lost many of their number - even worse they had to collapse one of their own tunnels to block off their own crypts, effectively disowning many dwarf corpses in the process.  While they still recognize Torag, his brother Magrim is given equal importance, with regular prayers to the pragmatic Dwarven death deity.  Treat the dwarves of Farfobik as LN with good tendencies.  Their survival comes first ...

+The Dwarves of Farfobik are a bit stand-offish.  They aren't rude, they won't try to trick you with fancy business deals -  but they aren't interested in being your friend.  If you travel to Farfobik, you are allowed into their reception area, and will even be allowed to camp there overnight, should you arrive too late to travel onwards -  but it isn't a warm welcome.  There is no dwarven hall filled with cheerful dwarves and the tables laden with food and ale, just a bit of space -  and they will sell you some trail rations if you need them.
+Once a week, the dwarves send a small caravan to Tas Dann.  Half-a-dozen mules, loaded with iron ingots, tools, weapons and household items make the journey to Southferry, next day they return to Farfobik with grain, ale, material and clothing.  Occasionally, a few dwarves will stay for a day or two to oversee some stone building work, but they depart as soon as they reasonably can.
+If you happen to see them in tavern, they are eating heartily and taking a few ales together.  Chatty enough with their own kind, they close up a bit when humans appear.  Again, they aren't rude or unpleasant -  just not very friendly.
