+{{  :consolidated:hann_empire:the_old_frontier:ironkeep.png?100|}}Iron Keep is a Dwarven holding set into a hill, deep in the forest. Most of it is underground, of course, and it is still early in the holding's development. Once home to a group of Kobolds, the dwarves have taken over, and now mine, and smelt, iron here.
 +
+The mine entrance now has massive wooden doors blocking the entrance, and only the fortified courtyard and smelter, are located above ground.  Everything else is being developed underground.  So far they have completed enough sleeping quarters for the residents, a common room and a temple-Forge dedicated to Torag. The common room operates like a simple tavern for visitors, who are allowed to sleep on the common room floor or camp in the courtyard, if they prefer.  Normal tavern prices apply.
 +
+Jagit Stigmar, a female priest of Torag and smith, leads the settlement. Jagit makes a selection of MW weapons and Armour, while her assistants keep the Dwarves supplied with tools and basic metalwork.

+  * **The Courtyard** is surrounded by a palisade wall, fitted with watchtowers and a walkway, with a simple track for guiding carts from the mine.  Much of the area under the walkways is clear and can make a good place for visitors to camp, with little need of tents.  There is even a ready-made fire pit.
+  * **The Smelter** only runs occasionally, but gets very busy when the dwarves have enough ore to make smelting it worthwhile.  Then it can burn for days, billowing black smoke across the forest, as dwarves toil at it night and day. Iron ingots are sent for exports via Tudra Dorola, the dwarf merchant in Edgemoor.
+  * **The Temple-Forge** is underground, inside the holding proper, and is rarely seen by visitors.  However, Jagit can craft both masterwork and magical (+1 only) weapons and armour - but stocks are limited.  She will have a couple of light MW weapons and steel shields available, but armour and magic weapons must be ordered in advance.  However, she has many of the materials to hand, and delivery can be as little as one week.  However, she insists that metal armours are collected, so that the armour can be properly sized and fitted.
