-The common room has an unusual stepped  ceiling that higher in the middle and lower towards the sides.  The ceiling is fairly low at the edges of the rooms and human sized clients would be very cramped -  however, they are just right for the inn's smaller clientele.
-Central tables have special chairs, like small sized bar stools, designed to seat small clients at the right height for the taller tables.  Waiting staff are generally halflings, who bring a box to stand on when taking orders at ‘human sized’ tables.
