-Oston is a self-governing town in the Province of Midmarch.  The mayor,  Sveltlana Leverson,runs the town on behalf of Lord Henry, assisted by her husband Oleg and Lt Cdr Garress on the Mindmarch military.

The south road leads down to Tusk, while the road west goes all the way to Restov - via Newgate.   Oleg and Svetlana own many of the town's commercial buildings.  The town is jam packed full, with no space left for development.  Svetlana is considering moving both the Granary and the Mill to a new farm outside town.  However, there are no plans to expand the town.

-  * **The Granary**. Provides a secure place for to store grains, until a merchant caravan swings past.
-  * **The Monument** - A large carved stone -  with a plaque commemorating the "Battle of Oleg's" the very first conflict in the founding of Midmarch - when the Staglord's men were first encountered and driven off.
-  * **The Baths**  On the edge of the town proper, the public baths help keep the town's residents clean and healthy.
-  * **The Orphanage** - Somewhere for the those children, from the surrounding countryside, who have lost their parents or guardians.

-  * **Leverson Trading** - Oleg and Svetlana started out with a simple trading post, but have prospered as Midmarch has developed, and now control quite a lot of the business in town
-      *  **The Road House** has a common room, stables and bunk houses to accommodate guests, and provides a decent, but simple, meal each evening.  The house speciality is  Honey Cake dessert.
-      *  **The Market** sells locally sourced goods such as dried meat, fresh radishes, furs, bucklers, light shields, spears, daggers, ladies dresses, shawls.
-      *  **The Mill** - The Leverton Mill, mainly used for grinding corn and grain to make flour.

-  * **Erastil's Chapel** - The priest, Fiddler Ashfoot, is a retired adventurer who decided to settle in this rural town.
-  * **The Pharasmin Graveyard** - is surrounded by a  hedge of fruiting bushes and small trees.  One day the home of the dead will be teaming with life in the form of small animals, birds and insects.  One of the graves is marked with the name Moto Trema and has a large sword embedded in the stone.

-  * **Findlas Carpentry** - a Master Crafter workshop that sells a range of wooden items to both locals and travellers alike.  The proprietor is a Gnome called Findlas, who can make masterwork wooden items, some of which include magical effects.
