Croston

Croston is a frontier town, built inside a strong stockade with regular wall patrols. Sir Tyr Corlian, The Mayor of Croston, live inside the central fort with his entourage, which also serves as a second line of defence for the town. Five districts - Elk, Market, Trade, Fish Market and Bayani Quay complete the town.

The Keep

A stone wall surrounds the three stone buildings here. Sir Tyr lives in a small manor house, there is a barracks for his troops and an administrative block, that serves as the Town Hall, Court, Tax and licensing office. All three are built of stone, with tile roofs. In the early days, The Keep has served as a citadel and place of last resort for citizens under attack. Hopefully, it won't have to fill that role again.

Bayani Quay

Bayanir Quay serves Croston's merchant and fishing communities. The jetty can accommodate most commercial vessels, but would struggle with the largest warships and, between time, services the local fishing boats.

The docks include warehouse space, an office for the FFTC representative, and fishermen's cottages. Most people here work as labourers in the warehouse or in the fishing industry. Fresh fish is taken straight to the fish market, but you can often see fisher-folk preserving fish, making fish sauce and mending nets in the open areas around their cottages.

The Wayhouse, dedicated to goddess Way, operates as a simple inn and tavern. Bunks in a dormitory and sleeping spaces on the common room floor can accommodate sailors, travellers, and newly arrived adventurers. The common room also serves the fisher folk as a simple tavern, selling inexpensive ales and wines (but doesn’t sell spirits), they regularly serve up fish stew for dinner.

Barham

Barham is a small residential district that is home to the sorceress Jade Shay. She is a distant relative of the governor, who came here as an adventurer, alongside the first settlers, she makes her living by enchanting weapons and armour, and making minor wondrous items. Barham has become the place to live, if you can afford the higher rents and property costs.
