Religion in Porters Bar

The primary deity, and patron, of Porter's Bar is Arth, accredited with saving the original people of this area from the ravages of the 'Fire time' in days of yore. They recognise Yarma, architect of the fire time, as the guardian of the dead and Shan as the god of the Sea and winds. All three have temples within the city walls.

  • Yarma - Quasi-deity, Psychopomp and patron of Guards and Soldiers (LN) (M)
  • Shan - Nature Spirit, Master of the Sea Winds (CN) (M)

The population also recognize the Wen deities, a trilogy of nature gods Earth, Sun and Moon, as guardians of the natural word. Those who live off the land or by the sea, tend to make regular small sacrifices to this group of gods.

  • WEN - primitive Nature Deities (TN)

The Royal Family follow the family tradition of ancestor worship, and most royal advisors and administrators and priests of the cult.

There is a Way House down by the docks, providing short term accommodation for sailors and other travellers.
