Tusk is an independent City-State in the Tannery League and is the focal point for trade in the north. Old Keep, Sunsmarch and the Old Frontier region depend on it, while both Farmarch and Pretipark send a fair amount of goods downstream to The Tannery.

As well as the city itself, Tusk includes a five large towns, a few smaller towns and their surrounding village. The five main towns were founded by some of the earliest, and most successful, adventurer explorers, and have earned their founders the title of Lord. They all have a commercial specialism, an interest of the lord, which has often earned them a significant income.
