East Telida
Located on the very eastern edge of the Hann Empire it is a fragmented land that can only be reached by a dangerous trek over the mountains or a very long sea voyage around the cape. The three small states, separated by hundreds of miles of mountains each have their own culture and ways of doing things.
Holden is a collection of small, heavily defended settlements in a river valley. They have come together to build a single town on the island at the mouth of their river, which handles most of their trade and is now the primary means of dealing with the outside world. However, the old mountain trail is still in place and used occasionally.
Terrill is a land of many different baronies, each baron holds his land by right of arms and birth. Terrill is a hilly, rocky area, open but unsuitable to cavalry charges, so each Baron supports a small field army, of Medium Cavalry (supported by lightly armored Infantry to protect their lands. Each Terrill barony has a large fortified town at its heart, the Terrill barons are led by a Count, who is the first among equals, war leader and overall arbiter of disputes.
Degal is a hereditary monarchy ruled by a Prince William Normand. The Prince rules from his small city and appoints sheriffs to manage regions called Shires. The land here is clear and flat - with high cliffs separating it from the mountains. Raiders can be mown down effectively by heavy cavalry charges.
The Church of Hann is represented in East Telida, but there is no consistency as to which deity's priests take the lead. That said, there are many followers of the old Lords, and a good smattering of people who follow other faiths as well.
All three states are always under some sort of threat from the mountains, so it is a good area for adventuring.
