The Northern Range

A range of mountains and their foothills. The mountains aren't massive, rarely rising above 15,000 feet, but most are bare rock and scree - difficult to climb and uninviting to settlers or residents. However, there are quite a few, habitable, passes passing through them, many connecting the foothills to the coast. It is said that there are higher mountains, deeper into the range, but no one has found them yet.
