leMaistre

House leMaistre came from Ustalav (about 25 years ago) as refugees from the War without Rivals. Since their arrival they have established themselves as a small Merchant House trading between New Stetven and Restov, but have ambitions to restore their noble status. Henry leMaistre is head of the leMaistre family, and won the contract to clear and then settle that part of the Stolen Land known as the Midmarch. He holds the titles of Baron Gates and Viscount Midmarch.

Amelie de leMaistre was sent to New Stetven from Ustalav, when Henry and Arice were children (during the War without Rivals) to protect the family from the effects of the war. It was fortunate because Armond leMaistre, Master of Feldgrau, lost his life, his lands, most his family and nearly all of his retainers during the war. The few survivors came to join Amelie and settled in Brevoy. Amelie is the younger sister of Armond, and Henry is the oldest surviving male of the line. The few adult retainers that came with them have passed away, but their children are all still employed by the family

Amelie used the family's resources to set up as a small merchant house working between Restov and New Stetven, and supported all the family members and retainers who joined them. The family still run the merchant house and Henry's brother-in-law, Peter leMaistre-Bowe, manages the day-to-day side of the business from his offices in Brunderton.

• Lady Bai Kao-leMaistre - She was married to a minor member of the Rogarvia Clan - but lost everything after the disappearance. She has become Henry's wife, confidante and companion. (NPC x) Baroness Gates

• Amelie deleMaistre - Aristocrat. Henry's Mother and cornerstone of the family. Lives in New Stetven.
  • Arice leMaistre-Bowe - Aristocrat. Henry's sister, about 3 younger then Henry. Married.
    • Peter leMaistre-Bowe - Henry's Brother-in-law. Peter is Arice's wife - older than her and was of lower status, he agreed to take the family name when they married. Peter manages the family's trade along the Rostland Road between Restov and New Stetven. He was a ranger by trade and very active in the business before he married Arice. There is an understanding that he and Arice will enjoy a very good income and standard of living with property of their own, when this is all over.

• Beatrix deleMaistre - Henry's cousin - about the same age as him. Went into the church of Pharasma. She now runs a Pharasman order, The Soul Spiral, in Tusk/Midmarch.
• Ricard deleMaistre - Henry's cousin - about 5 years younger than Henry and Beatrix. Runs Delem in Restov, and is starting to make a name for himself.
• Pemar deleMaistre - Henry's second cousin - about 7 years younger than Henry and Beatrix. He manages the DELEM Town base in Tusk.

• Rikka de leMaistre - a farm girl from the Restov area who worked as a caravan guard for Henry since the times before Midmarch was settled. She has now been adopted into the leMaistre family as a cousin. She is Chancellor of Midmarch, and runs the best weapons and armour shop in Tusk!
• Tiberezi deleMaistre - Originally a varisian traveller, Tib has worked with Henry as a caravan guard before joining the expedition to The Stolen Land - in return for his loyalty, Tib was adopted as a family member. He is Henry's bailiff, with responsibilities across all of Henry's estates, and commands Henry's Personal Guards.
