The primary deity, and patron, of Porter's Bar is Arth, accredited with saving the original people of this area from the ravages of the 'Fire time' in days of yore. They recognise Yamara, architect of the fire time, as the guardian of the dead and Shan as the god of the Sea and winds. All three have temples within the city walls.

The population also recognise the Wen deities, a trilogy of nature gods Earth, Sun and Moon as guardians of the natural word. Those who live off the land, and who gather the fruits of sea or swamp tend to make regular small sacrifices to this group of gods.

The Royal Family follow the family tradition of ancestor worship, and most royal advisors and administrators and priests of the cult.
