The Hann Empire

My consolidated game world. This is based on game settings that I have designed, with most of them played in either online or tabletop. However, I have added things from other games as well - games where I either used a published setting, or played in someone else's world. In those cases, I have added elements that I liked (sometimes created by other people) in locations that were never played in, normally using descendants of relatives or house members as the main NPCs. Hopefully, the spirit remains the same.

Neighbours

Neighbours of The Empire, these small states all have trade, cultural or family connections with some (or all) of the Empire.

  • Porters Bar - On the southern tip of Telida, Porters Bar is a small city state that has family ties to Finaroka, Angasa & Galinia. It is a major hub on the trade route between The Empire, Sakar and East Telida.
  • Port Elizabeth - The town of Port Elizabeth, sits on a jungle covered island between Sakar and the northern states and is neutral territory. Its population is part Sakaran, part northern, and it acts as the eastern gateway between the two spheres of influence.
  • The Western Isles - Razardi & Finaroka. Razardi was once invaded and occupied by Sakar, who held control of the islands for many years. Now it is independent, with a mixed Sakar and Hann population. It is the western gateway between the two spheres of influence. Finaroka is a newly settled island chain, in the great sea, west of Sakar and south of The Empire. It has been heavily subsidized by The Empire and its allies, and has minimal Sakaran influence. It is a potential point of conflict between the two spheres of influence.
  • Berhof - Mountain Stronghold that links West Telida and East Telida. Technically a holding of the Duke of Krote (a proud member of the Hann Council) it has no borders with The Empire, and is self-governed. It does, however, provide a minor trade link between East and West Telida.
  • Dwarf Mineholds - The Hann Empire is, primarily, a human construct that governs the surface of the land. Dwarf mines extend far below the surface, with most connecting to the underdark, and are self governed autonomous states. Links to Local Mineholds needed.
  • Elven Enclaves - There are only a few Elven enclaves, in the north, close to The Empires borders. They are somewhat isolationist, but maintain neutral relationships with The Empire and its allies. Links to Local Enclaves needed.

Others

  • Sakar - Al Qadim / Fantasy Arabian / Lankhamar - in a pseudo North African setting. My Long Standing 'competition' for Hann. They have a history of slave raiding, invasion and occupation - But now reduced to a sullen opposition.
  • Sinan - Think a mash-up of Chinese, Japanese and similar cultures - all in a constant state of political struggle. Introduced years ago, when I built Porters Bar - as a distant enemy - but are now becoming less important.
  • East Telida - Much less organized, less of a state and more of a 'less civilized' region. It was there for completeness - only one section has been used in a game (and that was mainly for background). It is a good area to write new adventures for.
