Glebe Street Market

Glebe street Market was once the main trading location in Westhaven - but that was before the New Town was built. The large square was once filled with market traders, and the buildings surrounding the squarer were once the main commercial buildings in town - but now it is run down, and almost empty. You hardly find any stallholders there now and the once proud shops are the homes and workshops of some of the least skilled crafters in Westhaven, and now serve the poorer members of the community.

The businesses here, The Inn has stopped renting rooms to visitors, and rents them as residential, it sells simple ale and wine - and very little else, as there is no call for it. The evening meal is always a stew, often vegetable, sometimes with meat or fish added. The shop specialises in things that cost less than 1gp, and many of their goods are cheaper than that. They buy in bulk and sell smaller portions that the locals can afford, half a preserved sausage, can flavour a stew for a whole family.

The other businesses sell similar items. This is the place to come if you want to buy second hand clothes, the simplest turnshoes, basic herbal remedies, or get small metal or wooden items repaired. You won't find anything of any great value here, just the absolute basics - but all functional, and serving the lowest tier of the working classes. Double doors lead into a 20n sq ft work area, surrounded by shelves, there is a small store room and stairs that lead to a simple living space. The central area, acts as a work / sales area - depending on the type of business.
