Frontier Fort - Infantry

An enclosure protected by a strong palisade, with watchtowers and simple wooden buildings for the garrison, equipped with four Ballistae. A full garrison normally consists of 5xGuards, 5x Archer recruits, who are used as supplementary guards and 10x Skirmishers, who patrol the area, but are capable of providing defensive arrow fire. A single officer oversees the fort.

The fort can be used to establish your presence in a hostile environment, and provide a safe stopping place for travellers or adventurers. It might also be used to monitor potential threats in a frontier area, with the ability to send riders for reenforcements.

  • Buildings (Including Ballistae & two light riding horses) = 6000gp
  • Garrison (Units: 1x Archer Recruits, 1x Guards, 2x Skirmishers) = 7500gp
  • Officer (Ranger L3) = 2000gp

Total = 15,500gp

Upgrades. Stone Walls & Gatehouse = +4500gp; 20×20 corner tower (2 storey & Guard Post on top) = +1000gp per tower.

Notes:

  1. Units consist of 1x Sgt and 4 troops
  2. Guards can fire the Ballistae
