+**Trade:**  The Chain Ferry serves as a floating dock, and is often used to transfer goods between Jovvox and the River Traders.  Fishing boats, and other small vessels, bring the goods out to the ferry where they are transferred to larger vessels.  The tributary river leading from the Little Sellen to Jovvox is shallow, narrow and windey - which makes it difficult for larger vessels to get into the town.  Shallops can manage it, just about, but anything larger will get stuck.

 **People:**  The gnomes are generally inventors or students, while many the halflings have ‘moved on’ from slavery in Cheliax.   About half of the halflings (mainly fishermen, carpenters and scouts) have made their permanent home here, the others are taking a break before they move on.  Apart from Jaig, the gnomes change regularly too.  Once a project is finished they will go somewhere else to play / experiment.
