Once the home to river pirates and brigands, this small village was recently incorporated into Midmarch by the Dosalic sisters.

Bridges and walkways lead out across the swampy ground, leading out to solid platforms built on stilts. Reed huts built onto the platforms provide accommodation for the village's residents.

1. The Big Huts, this pair of 35’ diameter huts are home to the Midmarch Guard -0 who now provide security to the village.
2. The Great Eel, is a 35’ diameter round house with an eel like pattern woven into the fabric of the wall hanging. It is the hub of the community, and serves as a communal workspace, bar, informal market, meeting room, chapel – and anything else the village requires.
   
   • As an informal market You can often find villagers ready to sell small items(< = 1gp). There are generally baskets, rush mats and bits of giant insects (such as Moth or Dragonfly etc) available.
   • As a bar/cafe, they sell simple food, such as: Jellied Eels, Fish Stew and Shell Fish (freshwater Mussels, Clams and Winkles) – there isn’t much in the way of bread, fruit or vegetable. There are bottles of ordinary ale, and Mead for sale at 1sp a pint bottle Note bottled stuff doesn’t spoil. Alternately you can get a mug of grog for 4cp.
3. The Public Jetty - is little more than a platform built out over the water - but it is big enough for fishing boats and voyaging boats to come alongside, and it makes a good base for the local fishermen and swamp rats to do business. There is no deep water channel and nothing larger than a fishing boat can get in an out to the village. Most of the village fisher-folk use skiffs or coracles that could be moor by their huts, although most work from the jetty. The community have a couple of more sophisticated fish-boats that are used, communally, by local fishermen.

The Dosalic sisters have built a mixed economy farm a short distance outside the village.

Most of the villagers live in the bottom right of the map in 15’ or 20’ huts. Swamp Folks all, they travel the swamps in skiffs and coracles, making a living as eel fishermen, collecting reeds for basketry or thatching or hunting in the swamp for giant moths, dragon flies and water lizards.
