Since the separation of Tusk and Midmarch, Newgate has served as the Capital of Midmarch and is the administrative centre for Henry's personal estates. The town is growing rapidly, and has a thriving trade district, and there are enough public facilities to make the place pleasant. As a part of Henry's designated 'Bread Basket' province, Henry is building grain producing farms in the hinterland. The town is paved throughout, and each district is identified by district walls.

The Central district is home to DELEM trading, Henry's sword School, and the castle. It also holds the main administrative buildings for the town.

Aswell, also known as the quiet district, is home to a number of religious and educational establishments. Pharasma, Abadar and Sarenrae all have a presence here, along with Three Ladies school and the town's copper school. The hospital, public baths and an inn can also be found here.

Extus is designated for the noisier, perhaps less salubrious, developments and is sometimes known as the Noisy District. You will find stables, Smithy and Carpenters, along with the Roth's Carriage park.

• Anhull Farm - a great farm, specializing in cereals. The Newgate Mill is located here.
• Harwood Farm - a great farm, specializing in cereals. The Newgate Brewery is located here - it makes ales for local consumption.
• Blont Farm - a great farm, specializing in cereals. The Newgate Tannery is located here.
• Finden Farm - yet another great farm that grows cereals as a cash crop.

Henry's House Guard are generalists and rotate duties between looking after Henry's estates and guarding his trade caravans. They wear the Blue and Gold patch associated with both Henry leMaistre's household and DELEM Trading.
