The village is named after The ranch in its hinterland, which was the main attraction of the area for years. Since the road has been extended to the West, it has seen more visitors.

• Bar-Z Watchtower - Sergeant Daly is in command of the watchtower and its small garrison (Midmarch Guard. 1xguard) patrol the local area. He reports to Cdr Ress at Outpost.
• Erastil's Great Shrine - This small hall serves as a communal workspace for the local community - all overseen by one of Fiddler's acolytes.
• The Small Corn Tavern - It serves simple food and drink, and can serve as an overnight resting spot for travellers.
• The Market - Mainly dealing in local fare and goods, it is also an outlet for the trade caravans that pass through the village.

• Bar-Z Ranch - which specializes in breeding and training horses under the watchful eye of Zorah the Druid. The ranch also has a saddler on-site. You can buy a horse and all the tack you need in one place.
